So tell me about how that journey has been.
7:54
Yeah, no, I mean, you know, it's been really cool.

This is the first year being at a D1 school band.

We'll see scouting reports and, you know, our hitting coach, Wilkie, does a really good job of kind of breaking down what each pitcher has.
8:07
And then, you know, once I'm able to see kind of that information, it's like, all right, now this is what I know he's going to come out with me with and you know Wilkie will say like you know this is where he likes the pitch this is where you know he's trying to get you out with so like knowing that and then being able to be in the box and not worry about you know my hands my my load any of that it's just kind of like I know I'm going to do it because I've worked on it every single day and that's kind of just you know the swings there so it's like how what am I looking for now like am I depending on the count, the situation, things like that, I'm able to think more like that.

Like you were saying, like with the chest, like trying to be ahead of the pitcher.
8:47
And, you know, once I feel like I have him, then it's like I'm ready for the pitch that comes and I know my swing is going to be just fine.

What would you go back and tell this 15, 16-year-old Mathew Farner as some advice, knowing now as a college player, what would you tell yourself?
