I am the development associate for the Alliance for the Great Lakes, and I've only been with them for about a year and a half at this point.

point.Prior to fundraising, I actually went to school in Chicago for performing arts, and I started my undergrad in 2016 and graduated in 2020.

So the original plan was to set up shop and becoming home studio, any, any sort of like recording there, but it got put on hold.

So from there it was just kind of jumping to part-time job here and there.

But what happened was I found, uh, Lyric Opera of Chicago and, uh, really there, there was that entry-level position of development services coordinator.

And from there it was just opening up the opportunity to learn more about nonprofit, having a, a very established and historical and significant fundraising entity in the city of Chicago.

But then from there, really diving in and laying the groundwork for what would be now my career direction.
