Um, so, the title, "Mainstream or Extinction: Defining Who We Save, Who We Are Saved Geriatrics Ten Years Later." Can I [chuckles] ask you, Mary, why did you decide to write this? What was the article first you wrote ten years ago?

So ten years ago, I was, I was really focusing on kind of a lot of things we're talking about right here.

We're not getting respect.

Nobody knows who we are.

And, um, I was anxious at that point.

I'd been in the field for thirty years, and for thirty years we've been having this conversation.

And w- as I was writing that article, I realized, "Well, wait a second.
