It's not something you have a big opinion about, but does this come up with your patients ever? I
7:32
mean, you look at people's medical histories and implants are extremely common.
7:38
And I've seen a surge of women start to explant too, much more in like the recent years, I would say.
7:45
So yeah, I see it all the time.
7:47
I'm just not an expert in this field, so I don't have a ton to add to it, but I'm excited to hear from Dr. John.
7:52
Yeah.

25:02
So long-term, it doesn't change the ability to screen or monitor for cancer.
25:05
That's actually my follow-up question where breast density we're going to talk about I think on one of our episodes.
27:12
Yes.
27:12
We're talking about them in healthy individuals, if they have a utility or not.
27:16
Um, my personal opinion is they have pretty little or low utility in healthy individuals.
27:23
Um, there's a few instances that I'll put them on people, um, because you'll, you'll have these, like, weird labs come back.
27:30
You don't need to, so I have a different clientele that, like, money is usually not a limiting factor.
27:36
Um, but majority of the time I don't recommend them for, for individuals, just because we can become really obsessive about chasing the numbers, and you don't want a flat blood sugar line going throughout the day.
27:47
Like, there's not a benefit of that.
30:38
Mm-hmm
6:13
Are you talking sexual health and libido?
6:17
Absolutely.
6:17
I think some people are more apt to actually talk about it and initiate.
6:21
Some other people, you have to initiate the conversation and they have a lot to say about it.
6:25
And I really like the lumpy term because you also will see that, yeah, it declines as you age, but you can have a woman, let's just say she ended a relationship in her 50s, started a new relationship, and wow, libido is suddenly there in this new relationship, right? And so it's I think that there's so many dynamics, but the older we get, a lot of people who are in monogamous long-term relationships will also just be in a relationship longer as well.
6:52
And so I like the lumpy because it is.
6:54
It's like depending on how old you are, yeah, it's going to decline.

Go to stemregen.co and use code LUMPOD, that's L-U-M-P-O-D, for 20% off your next order.
6:05
How did you stay true to what you wanted to stay true to?
6:07
Well, I was still well in my journey in school, so, um- I got to naturopathic medicine because I had GI issues growing up, and like didn't feel well.
6:20
And I went to see the conventional gastroenterologist, primary care, you know, did like the whole like normal workup, and like still didn't feel well.
6:28
And so I was really disheartened by the medical system, and, um, and that's where I started to seek alternative treatments.
6:34
Like, I went to see an acupuncturist or a chiropractor, and then I went to see a naturopathic doctor.
6:39
And when I saw that doctor, it was the first time that a doctor had had the time to really sit with me, listen to me, speak to me, and so I really fell in love with her bedside manner and her ability to communicate.
6:52
My background has always been in nutrition and exercise science, and so I've always been like lifestyle forward focused.

Hmm.
