Seattle has to be the favorite, right? But my gosh, does Matthew Stafford know how to play quarterback or what?

Yeah, I actually think the Rams are the favorite.

And Vegas actually has them as the entire NFL favorite.

Now, some of that is because of... fancy names like they got a lot of attention this offseason.

You acquire Miles Garrett, you acquire Trent McDuffie out in the defensive backfield, and then you have all the offensive weapons they already had.

They're just a really good franchise and they're really, really in a window.

So to me, they're the favorite.

Do you think Tampa Bay should have given Baker Mayfield the contract extension?

You're going to see sit out most of the people you've heard of.

That's typical with an early preseason game, especially when the 49ers, who love those injuries, are dealing with more of them yet again.

So you're not going to see the likes of Christian McCaffrey and Brock Purdy, etc.

I think right now the excitement, there are some young guys on the defensive side who have some good battles going on for positions and times and things like that, but The headliner is clearly going to be their rookie wide receiver, Dajon Stribling.

I actually don't even know necessarily how much we'll see of him, but I'm expecting to see some of him.

And he has been just putting up rave reviews throughout camp, working well with both Brock Purdy and his backup.

Are you worried these injuries could impact the team's success this year?

I think fans need to kinda taper their expectations on this one.

Yeah, I think, I think those days in baseball are gone, where you can get that kind of a return for a rental.

Um, it just doesn't kinda play that way anymore.

So Robbie Ray being, uh, you know, like, whoever's trading for him, you're getting him for how many starts? What are, what are we realistically looking at here? Um, you know, you're gonna get him to start for August and September with your fingers crossed about October.

So, you know, like, what are we looking at? 10 starts? Um, so i- is anyone really gonna pay something premium for that? Probably not.

I don't think we see that in baseball a whole lot anymore.

That said, I mean, you just laid it out.

Gave a pretty honest grade for the first half of the Giants season.

I mean, I know that that may sound really harsh, but let's think about all of the things that have gone into this season.

They did not really build a bullpen, which is always, always important for any team.

And that has... has really bit them.

They've blown so many games with leads going into the eighth or ninth inning on an individual basis.

Some of the players that really needed to kind of step forward and do some things this year, Willie Adamas, and I know Rafi Devers is hitting well now, but it's been a struggle.

No kidding so in the trade deadline August 3rd what type of moves to the team make ahead of the deadline with everything going on.
