Economic activity is being stifled because of this.

In two thousand and five, the cost of healthcare for a family of four was about twelve thousand dollars a year.

Last year, it was nearly thirty-six thousand.

So it's tripled over twenty years.

And if we don't do anything, at the same rate of growth, in another twenty years, it'll be over a hundred thousand dollars a year to provide healthcare for a family of four, and we just can't afford that as a country.
