And finally, but by no means least, you're going to hear from Mark, who spoke to a broader view of how companies are quantifying support in their shareholder basis and how this is a really key part of their engagement strategies.

Mark SimmsGUEST
Yeah, I think, you know, the first issue that you've got to look at is quantifying sort of levels of support.

Mark SimmsGUEST
So, you who is there to support and not support management with the sort of strategies that you're doing, which is becoming increasingly difficult.

Mark SimmsGUEST
I think prior to the sort of evolution of the stewardship codes in 2016, it was a lot easier to understand the sort of levels of support and engagement you needed with shareholders.

Mark SimmsGUEST
But since 2016, there's been quite a lot of behavioral change with investors becoming more active in terms of how they vote and which way they're going to vote and the influences that play on to them.

Mark SimmsGUEST
So, one of the first steps that I think the companies have is actually how do you understand whether you have the support you have and what are going to be the things that might not be supported by the investor base.

Mark SimmsGUEST
And that's where it's become a lot more difficult because of pass-through voting as being one of those examples, but also how votes are sort of fragmented across even institutions that are holding them.

And just sort of building from that, right? And, you know, again, I think building out a stakeholder map here is pretty key in terms of figuring out who your supporters are, who you probably don't need to spend a lot of time with, and trying to carve out that middle ground of where the real voting influence can fall.
