But do you think that the alliance can successfully block this in city council?

Yeah, so I certainly do.

I mean, let's just start with the fact that regulation should have started at a world level, right? UN or somebody at a world level should have been regulating these things for a number of years.

We failed at the federal level.

We've got a governor, I'm sorry, a president that's called it a hoax and we haven't regulated it there.

But at the state level, there has been serious consideration to regulation.

I do believe that later this year we will have a finality to regulating data centers at the state level.

So what do you say to city leaders, advocates, even community members who argue that rushing into data center expansion without guardrails poses a risk to Chicago communities in terms of health, air, and water concerns?
