Just start by telling everybody about the poll, how big it is, how you poll, and then we'll dive right in.

Mark PennGUEST
I'm not going to go through all the questions because that would take probably another 20 minutes, but give you an overview of what public opinion is.

We're just gonna lie like Abigail Spanberger lied in Virginia and, and come up with her real agenda once she's elected." Um, I just don't know what date they'll take it down, 'cause I think this is creating an enormous headache for the Democratic Party in a m- in an election year, historically, where the party out of power, you know, should gain significant amount of seats in the House and pick up a lot of seats in the Senate.
Sean HannityHOST
Are you, are you, are you saying, like, people like me, that I'm a loser 'cause I don't have much to do [laughs] on my Labor Day week? I take a few days off.

The 2028, the, you know, the 2028 presidential primary is going to be the make or break primary for the party.

Mark PennGUEST
Remember, Bernie Sanders probably would've been the nominee if Biden wasn't put up as sort of a Trojan horse nominee.

Mark PennGUEST
So is AOC or somebody like her going to be the nominee out of this party, and it's...
Mark LevinHOST
What are you hearing from them? Are you hearing concern? Are you hearing that we need to mobilize and fight this?

And, and I think actually, what you really wanna focus on is, you know that it's a 50/50 country, more or less, and so you wanna focus on why is that, and what do the questions tease out about what is the debate going on in people's minds? Because remember that the swing voters whom you think of will actually think a lot of things that are contradictory in nature, and how they resolve that contradiction is how they come to vote.

Mark PennGUEST
And so with that in mind, and I've, I've done a few interesting questions here too this month on socialism, which I find, I find somewhat amusing actually.

Mark PennGUEST
But most importantly, if you dive into the poll, the first q- there's, it's actually the second question, which is, uh, but probably the single most important question is, "Do you think the economy is on the right track or the wrong track?" And as you can see, people think it's on the wrong track.

Mark PennGUEST
Now, a lot of people th- you know, was it on the wrong track before, um, Iran, after Iran? Yeah, it was on the wrong track here through the entire administration.

Mark PennGUEST
And the last time it was on the right track was, like, for a couple of days in the Biden administration [chuckles] and most of the first Trump administration, until the pandemic hit.

Somehow they got this idea that you take completely unqualified people who have never done anything in their lives, espouse socialist propaganda, and somehow those are going to be the candidates that defeat someone who...

Mark PennGUEST
By the way, you know, Senator Collins, of all the different senators to try to attack, you know, in this fashion, has always shown that she represents Maine, has always been willing to look at both sides, vote against her own party.

Mark PennGUEST
She's a model of kind of what, uh, what you would think a senator from, from a state like Maine would be.

Mark PennGUEST
And then to, uh, to try to f- try to prop up a candidate who was obviously unqualified.

Now the DSA has just supported basically getting rid of the Constitution and replacing it with just the House of Representatives that would pick the president.

Mark PennGUEST
But the Democratic Party has been welcoming them in and they've been growing in support little by little.

Look, uh, you know, to go back to, and I wrote an article on Fox News that said, "Look, Federalist 62 set up the Senate- Senator is supposed to be above politics somewhat, really, really well-educated about the issues, really able to kinda work together with other colleagues in the Senate, right? There's nothing about this process that says that we're trying to, that they're trying to nominate a senator in that mode, and Susan Collins, frankly, is a, is, is someone in that mode, right, who's judicious.

But being that they had the gerrymandering, you got the war, a slow, uh, a s- a low impact war perhaps, or a l- a slow-burning war, and you have this DSA working its way inside the DNC, how do you, what do you think we're gonna be looking at in November?

The whole idea is for you to have a set of principles and for you to attract people to those principles.

Mark PennGUEST
And that's what creates a party, not, hey, let's take anybody no matter how crazy because we might get an extra vote out of them because that's not a party.

Mark PennGUEST
And at some point, common sense voters should realize that they can't be part of a party that is going to include, I mean, Nazi tattoos, you know.

Mark PennGUEST
Well, look, from the get-go, how about having candidates that are actually qualified for a job that they might do? I mean, isn't that something that you really have to start with? And isn't that an important principle that you should have as a party? I mean, it's, well, as you could say, I could go on and we'll go on a little bit more.

Well, look, no, they don't have a direction, and they're not going to have a direction, really.
