And I hear from people here, Mark, who write to me by text at 416-872-1010, by the way, uh, and say things like, "Carney is selling us out to China."
30:48
Look, uh, we...
30:50
Uh, I had to sell that energy to somewhere, and part of the reason why, um, Trump has us over a barrel right now is because Trudeau and others prevented pipelines and natural gas, uh, LNG plants to be built the last 10 years.
31:05
So we only have really one client for $137 billion a year of energy right now, oil and gas, and that's the US.
31:14
And if we would like to, uh, have some cards to play to defend autos in Ontario and whatnot here, we need to face facts, and that is to give Carney, uh, the luxury to, uh, show Trump that we can play hardball too, and that 10 years from now, we take Trump at his word when he says that he- we don't need, the US doesn't need our oil and gas.
31:38
Okay, we'll honor CUSMCA the next 10 years, but in 2036, we'll start selling all that energy to China or Japan or Korea or Germany or somebody else, and see if that might, uh, stiffen the Canadian spine but also, uh, force Trump to be a bit more rational on some of these negotiating points.
33:25
You, you mentioned the other provinces, and you write in your column in The Star, "As for Quebec's likely refusal to grant a social license to a restarted Energy East Pipeline project, the province is already home to two active oil refineries fed by 240 annual oil tanker trips along the Saint Lawrence Seaway." And then you say, "Carney should ignore its hypocrisy to the extent our constitution allows." Are you saying that the prime minister could say to Quebec, "You're getting a pipeline whether you like it or not"?
33:54
It is that simple.
