1:26
What do you think is going to happen Saturday?
1:28
Well, the first thing that Arkansas has to do is figure out a way to stop the run.
1:32
Jamal Roberts has done a terrific job running the ball.
1:34
He hurt 67 yards and eight touchdowns on the season.
1:36
In his running league, I'm out of heart.
1:38
He's been out the entire season, but he's practiced for the first time this season off that gunshot injury.
1:42
He had 1,650 yards and 16 TDs last year.
6:11
They've got something working there in Cleveland.
4:36
What do you think is going to happen Saturday?
4:38
Well, the first thing that Arkansas has to do is figure out a way to stop the run.
4:42
Jamal Roberts has done a terrific job running the ball 867 yards and eight touchdowns on the season.
4:47
In his running league, Ahmad Hardy's been out the entire season, but he's practiced for the first time this season off that gunshot injury.
4:53
He had 1,650 yards and 16 TDs last year.
4:55
For some reason, Eli Brink finds running backs.
4:58
I don't know where he gets them, but every year he finds running backs, good offensive linemen that can pound the rock.
9:22
They've got something working there in Cleveland.
9:08
So of the three undefeated teams in the league, Minnesota, San Francisco, and the Chiefs, tell me, will one of those be your Super Bowl winners right now, Mark May? I
9:18
think.
9:20
to the front-runner right now.
9:23
I think that's key.
9:24
And not only that, it takes a lot of pressure off of Patrick Mahomes.
9:26
They can run play action now.
9:28
Kelsey's playing like he did years ago.
10:53
Yeah.
6:24
What do you think happens there?
6:26
Well, if Indiana's defense can step up and slow down Jeremiah Smith, which nobody's been able to do until right now, he got, got 11 touchdown receptions already this season, they have a chance in this game.
6:37
If they can't slow him down, Ohio State wins this game.
6:39
They've got two great running backs, both by the last name of Jackson.
6:42
Both of them are averaging almost six yards per carry.
6:44
And if they can get physical up front with their offensive line, I think that they'll take over Indiana.
6:48
But Indiana's tough.
9:54
Yeah.
9:53
What do you think happens there?
9:55
Well, if Indiana's defense can step up and slow down Jeremiah Smith, which nobody's been able to do [audio cuts out] till right now, he got, got 11 touchdown receptions already this season, they have a chance in this game.
10:06
If they can't slow him down, Ohio State wins this game.
10:09
They've got two great running backs, both by the last name of Jackson.
10:11
Both of them are averaging almost six yards per carry.
10:13
And if they can get physical up front with their offensive line, I think that they'll take over Indiana.
10:17
But Indiana's tough.
13:23
Yeah.
58:54
And so I know you have a little something special for Tony.
58:57
Yeah, I do.
58:58
I like that face, Tony.
59:00
Three years ago, you know, I was named the Rams Inspire Change Changemaker.
59:05
And today, my brother, I'm so excited to let you know that the Rams are naming you the NFL's Inspired Change Changemaker of 2026, my brother.

59:18
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
59:21
And on behalf, with that honor, it's for all the work that you do in the city of Los Angeles with the families, the community, and everybody else.
59:27
But on behalf of that honor, they're also going to be gifting the NFL Foundation, the heart of Los Angeles, a $10,000 donation.
5:46
What do you think happens there?
5:48
Well, hopefully there won't be a hurricane that affects the game, but it looks like it's going to be.
5:51
It's got to be wet.
5:52
It's got to be rainy.
5:53
It's got to be windy.
5:54
And the president's supposed to be there, so that's not going to help either football team.
5:58
But the situation is there's enough distractions with this football game as it is.
7:55
Your team faces a Giants team that's been sort of surprising without their starting quarterback.
1:08
But it was just nice to have a week of good job Razorbacks, you know.
1:12
Yeah, solid football.
1:13
Got the lucky off their back.
1:14
Got the fans off their back.
1:15
And, you know, they did what they were supposed to do.
1:17
They played the type of football that they were trying to play the entire season long.
1:20
And it looked like a solid football team with a good effort on both sides of the ball.

8 MINS LATER

9:52
What do you think about them?
2:31
This is not a, a real talented team, but it was just nice to have a week of good job, uh, Razorbacks, you know?
2:37
Yeah, solid football.
2:38
Got the rookie off their back, got the fans off their back and, you know, they did what they were supposed to do.
2:42
They played the type of football that they were trying to play the entire season long, and they looked like a solid football team with a good effort on both sides of the ball and special teams.
2:49
So, you know, this is the way they wanted to play, but this is a big week coming up against Texas A&M.
2:53
This is a football team that's got their back against the wall.
2:55
They started the season off well.
7:56
Uh, talk about that game.
6:55
Uh, what did you think- Thank you, Mark ... what did you think about Cleveland going down there and beating Tampa Bay?
6:59
[laughs] I thought that was great.
7:03
I, I like Baker Mayfield.
7:04
I'm a big fan of Baker Mayfield.
7:05
But the way that Cleveland was able to go down there and play and find a way to win that game, great win for the staff, great win for this team.
7:11
And everybody, you know, uh, if, if Mike Tomlin gets on the air and says, "Well, the Browns will beat the Browns." Well, the Browns showed us a thing or two in football games.
7:18
Don't put an NFL team in the corner because every team in the NFL has great talent.
9:05
Is, uh, is Kansas City back? Is this team gonna, gonna go to the su- ma- have a chance to go to the Super Bowl? Look pretty good so far.
11:11
They came out and they obviously beat Dallas, and all of a sudden, boom, Jackson Dart is done for the season.
11:17
Well, in that game, regardless if he was healthy, I don't think they were going to beat the Rams in that game.
11:21
But Jackson Dart, the thing is, everybody's talking about, well, the way that the Giants handled it.
11:25
He was on the sidelines, and they didn't think it was that serious.
11:27
They didn't know.
11:28
Baz, you know this situation.
11:29
When you hurt a knee, stadiums don't have MRI machines.
12:23
Is Kansas City back? Is this team going to have a chance to go to the Super Bowl? It looked pretty good so far.
1:46
Did you get a chance to watch the game against Utah? And what are your thoughts of the performance?
1:50
I thought it was dismal.
1:51
I thought the offensive line was bad again.
1:53
I thought every aspect of the game was bad.
1:55
The talent just isn't there.
1:56
Whoever is the general manager, the talent coordinator, they need to be gone.
2:00
Because you're spending that kind of money, and this is what you're getting for your results.

9 MINS LATER

10:40
You
3:52
Did you get a chance to watch the game against Utah, and what are your thoughts on the performance?
3:56
I thought it was dismal.
3:57
I thought the offensive line was bad again.
3:59
I thought every aspect of the game was bad.
4:01
The talent just isn't there.
4:02
Whoever is the general manager, the talent coordinator, they need to be gone.
4:06
Because you're spending that kind of money and this is what you're getting for your results.
8:07
Talk about that one.
3:05
Much tougher road ahead with Utah this week and Georgia the following week.
3:09
Yeah, the offensive line at the tackle position, I was really disappointed.
3:12
They were like a turnstile in pass protection, and you can't have that.
3:15
And this was supposed to be a buttoned-down football team under Summerfield.
3:18
And you look at the team, and it's like eight penalties in the game, not fundamentally found, not good in the kicking game.
3:25
You know, it was just kind of demoralizing because I expected more.
3:27
I expected them to be ready to go at least the fundamental things.

6 MINS LATER

9:06
Is it more difficult to win multiple Super Bowls now or back then when you guys were playing, when you had fewer teams and more concentrated talent on teams?
4:40
Much tougher road ahead with Utah this week and Georgia the following week.
4:44
Yeah, the offensive line at the tackle position, I was really disappointed.
4:47
They were like a turnstile in pass protection, and you can't have that.
4:50
And this was supposed to be a buttoned-down football team under Summerfield.
4:53
And you look at the team, and it's like eight penalties in the game, not fundamentally found, not good in the kicking game.
5:00
It was just kind of demoralizing because I expected more.
5:02
I expected them to be ready to go with at least the fundamental things, run the football effectively, run it when you want to and when you have to.

6 MINS LATER

10:42
Is it more difficult to win multiple Super Bowls now or back then when you guys were playing, when you had fewer teams and a more concentrated talent on teams?
4:38
What do you think would be the number of games that would be acceptable in your mind or realistic do you think they could win?
4:48
I think if they win three or four games, I think that would be a pretty doggone solid season.
4:52
That would be a good building block for the future.
4:54
But, I mean, you look at a situation where they're down in a hole.
4:57
You know, they're already deep in the hole right now, and you're climbing out of that hole, and you're playing teams with established quarterbacks, established running backs, established defenses.
5:04
a coaching staff that have been together for a while.
5:06
So it's an uphill battle, and you've got to realize that going into this season, that you're just laying the foundation right now.
9:35
But just maybe reflect on that time with Coach Holtz and his funeral in Notre Dame.
6:31
What do you think would be the number of games that would be acceptable in your mind or realistic do you think they could win?
6:41
I think if they win three or four games, I think that would be a pretty doggone solid season.
6:44
That would be a good building block for the future.
6:47
But, I mean, you look at a situation where they're down in the hole.
6:50
You know, they're already deep in the hole right now, and you're climbing out of that hole, and you're playing teams with established quarterbacks, established running backs, established defenses.
6:57
a coaching staff that have been together for a while.
6:59
So it's an uphill battle, and you've got to realize that going into this season, that you're just laying the foundation right now.
11:15
um boy what what a great run you had with him and how fitting it is mark that's where i think coach holtz wanted to be buried he's right down the stone's throw from rockney uh and there with his wife too but just maybe reflect on that time with coach holtz uh and his funeral in notre dame
36:36
What did you know about him before he got there? I don't know if I've ever asked you that or not.
36:40
Yeah, I knew he was a great coach, and I knew that he did a terrific job on the speaking circuit and was well-known for that.
36:48
I didn't have that much of a personal relationship with him, but I know that Notre Dame and Pitt had this rivalry for years and years and years going back, geez, over a century that they would play games and they were always close games.
36:58
And I know that he always had something inside of him and always wanted to just jab anybody that Notre Dame played that they beat.
37:05
You know, it was either Pitt or it was USC or it was like, you know, any other team that they played that they always used to beat that they'd take advantage of.
37:12
But he never picked on Navy.
37:13
That's one school that they beat they never picked on was Navy.
38:51
How mad would he get, and how did you maintain that friendship when you're kind of at each other's throats in front of millions of people?
