Yeah, so the idea behind ChatGPT for teens is that anyone aged younger than 17 goes immediately into that account and they're meant to link their account to their parents' ChatGPT accounts.

Mark LaurenceGUEST
Talking with ChatGPT in any concerning ways, any sensitive topics, anything about self-harm, sexual topics, et cetera, it's meant to flag alerts on the parent's account.

Mark LaurenceGUEST
But these testers, they did 4,000 tests, and some of them talked about self-harm for up to an hour, and then the parent alerts didn't go off.

Mark LaurenceGUEST
So they said in up to one in four cases where they should have got flags, they didn't happen.

Mark LaurenceGUEST
So that to me is, we're just going back to these tech labs, they ask for a whole lot of trust from us as the general public.

ai expert but you're also um a parent how are you guiding your kids tuesday

Mark LaurenceGUEST
firstly i never ever call myself an ai expert because it's so new nobody knows and it's so big you can't be an expert at all of ai you know you could be an expert in one little area anyway my kids my kids right now they are got an eight-year-old girl a six-year-old girl a three-year-old None of them go anywhere near AI.

Mark LaurenceGUEST
I actually just personally think if kids use AI too early, there's a danger that they won't grow their own brain and rely on their own brain to do their thinking.

Mark LaurenceGUEST
And that, you know, if they don't know the answer to a question, just say, oh, let's chat TBT it.
