Go ahead.
9:32
I apologize.
9:33
But before we get sort of going here, I think it's really important to keep in mind a couple of things.
9:39
Judges for the...
9:39
I will speak for myself, but I think I can speak for most of the family law bench.
9:45
Discovery disputes... are not a pleasant way to spend your day it's not a pleasant way for you as an attorney to spend your time your clients money your efforts and energy it's not a pleasant way for judges to have to wade through a bunch of stuff and figure out what should this be um should you you know this be compelled let's not be compelled can i narrow this can i do that so so i think that A good, solid effort at meeting and conferring to show the judge that you've actually worked hard on figuring out whether you do you really need this information? Is the other side willing to give you something as part of what you're asking for? And, you know, when you think about it, yeah, I really don't need or want this, but I really need or I really want that.
10:31
And so if you sit down and work together, you can jettison the part you don't need and focus on what you really do need, which is going to keep you out of court and is going to keep keep your billing down, which is going to make your client happy.

Your Honor, you want to talk about some remedies from the bench's perspective about when you see motions filed without an adequate meet and confer?
