And they'd

go up to the VAR and it would be like this higher power that would show you what actually happened, right? That's what the Bible is for us.

Because if you just look to culture, when you ask the question of marriage relationships and dating and friendships, whatever, you get all kinds of weird ideas.

But when you look to the Bible, the Bible has something for us that's far better.

It's like a transcendent view of the way things are supposed to work and the way you can flourish as you reset.

And the Bible's got some great things.

In fact, this is gonna be a very simple message around nine things that Colossians 3 tells us that if you actually do these nine things in your relationship, you will flourish.

Secondly, he talks about change.

The amount of change that we experience as a generation is much more than any generation before us, right? My mom lived in three houses her entire life.

She's now 75 years old.

She's lived in three houses.

She lived in one house when she was getting raised.

She lived in a second house when she raised me and a third house when she moved after I left.

So I'm, I'm, I'm happy with this exchange.

Yeah.

That's one of the things that that's actually where the, the, the piece I wrote begins is talking.

And there are a lot of people who think that after targets, um, you know, it's unfortunate that he didn't just end with that great kind of fine.

Cause it turns to the wonderful film.

Karloff is amazing at it.

It's one of his best performances, probably one of his best films.

And we're journeying through a thing called Never Settle and we're going through kind of chapters in the gospel of John.

We hit chapter one, week one, a couple of stories out of chapter two last week and now we're in chapter three.

one of the most important conversations to ever happen in the history of humankind.

And we're in the Gospel of John, which is a book that really points to never settling in life.

I saw this meme the other day of these two guys in a car and the one guy was dressed up in a suit and he was like totally kind of just chill and normal.

Hopefully you're doing well.

My name is Mark Clark, one of the pastors here at Bayside Church down in Sacramento, California.

And I actually grew up in Toronto and then lived 18 years in Vancouver, Canada.

Started a church in 2010 out there called Village Church.

Saw tons of people meet Jesus, which was awesome.

How did you become involved in the Morseville Fondo? Yeah.

I think about four years ago, I had participated in another Fondo down the road a little bit and done some other organized rides in South Carolina, Maine, Canada, and whatnot.

And I heard that Mooresville was adding a Fondo.

So I thought, well, I'm going to sign up and give it a shot.

I know sometimes when there's a new event, it takes them a few years to get legs and to get going.

But once I did it the first year, I was hooked.

And I was just amazed at the organization.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Right? It's huge.

Like, i-it's like, for people who are watching, uh, you can't, you can't see any of that.

But anyways, so I'm reading in Luke, and I'm literally s- because the letters are big, I'm seeing stuff I've never seen before.

[laughs] Like, like literally.

And no joke, I was reading this, Luke chapter 8, and of course, I've been to seminary and, you know, I know all the things.

I memor- you know, you know, me and you, we memorize the Bible, but I, once in a while you forget a thing here or there.
