Why did you retire?

I retired because it was time to move on.

Time to move on.

Time to move on and let some younger folks have it.

Okay.

But during my tenure at the police department, I worked with a lot of years in child abuse cases and domestic abuse.

And then at the end of my career, I was asked to serve on the Safe Passage Board, which I did.

Well, not being a police officer, I would think this would be very difficult to deal with because you want to go in there and just slap the you-know-what out of somebody, and you can't do it.
