What say you? I think your organization, the American Botanical Council, and some of the projects that you've undertaken is sort of the best retort to that argument, isn't it?

Yeah, I mean, first of all, let me just say there's a lot of good companies that are run by ethical people that are responsible, that care about the quality of the ingredients they put in their products.

They care about how they process those materials into consumer products.

And ultimately, they care about a beneficial effect and overall benefit for the health community.

There's a lot of good people out there.

And yet there's also people out there who are more concerned about the business and making money and less concerned about the quality.

So how do you safeguard against that? And what are some examples?

So it's not like a blanket refusal to use these things as adjuncts to conventional medicines or surgeries.

Correct.

And what we do actually is look at the medical and clinical and scientific literature, mainly clinical.

We don't get into the chemical studies and the animal studies because there's thousands of those published every year.

And there's been an explosion, by the way, in the last 30 or 40 years in research, scientific research from chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology and human clinical studies.

Just, you know, seven, eight hundred percent increase in research.

growth in the number of papers being published every year, new journals popping up, etc., and of papers of various qualities, designs, etc., and journals with various levels of quality as far as their peer review, etc.
