What inspired you to build a loon nest?

Yeah.

Just a brief bit of background.

Our Big Fish Lake is located in Stearns County.

I've been part of the association here for probably 15, 18 years.

And really, the loon nest program started prior to my involvement on the association and living on the lake.

For about 25 years ago, we had two association members who were starting to become concerned at that point even about the habitat on our lake, because there were many more homes being built, and about the ability to provide nesting for loons.
