So the short thing that I tell everyone is that it's about an island that makes influencers disappear.

But when I was writing it, I was trying to write something that was inspired by a COVID fever dream and involved the Mandela effect.

So these influencers see something happen and then the internet kind of changes what they saw.

Like you can't trust anything on the internet.

And so There's a couple characters in the book who kind of figure out what's going on.

And most everyone around them doesn't quite get it.

know, bodily autonomy, things like that.
