So can you talk a little bit about that paradox of depending on high masking for relatability and then also the trap that it can become for people like us?
12:20
Yeah, I'm just taking that question in.
12:22
Yeah, I can understand why it might feel like a trap.
12:28
And I personally, I haven't framed it specifically that way.
12:34
for myself but I I think I understand that framing and there's like this catch-22 like if I mask I will be better understood but if I mask I will be more exhausted and that I think is why in my work it feels so important to try to not just support people who are finding their way with how to navigate systems and navigate that reality or other realities, but also to influence the systems themselves in the consulting work that I'm looking to do.
13:22
In addition to coaching, in addition to that one-on-one coaching, supporting the workers themselves, I want to use my organizational consulting skills skills to help organizations become more inclusive so that masking doesn't have to happen.
13:40
And I think that it's on the system just as much, if not more, than the individual to provide spaces where unmasking can occur where that is safe, where people will be accepted for being themselves and don't have to feel exhausted and get exhausted in trying to fit in.
