What are the stories of your lifetime that you you kind of carry around with you that are the most memorable that you feel you've helped with?

I think the contaminated blood stuff.

I was one of the very first journalists to write about child abuse in the children's homes and the residential schools throughout Scotland.

And I started writing about that in the 70s.

That was long before people had even realised that had gone on.

And initially, I had absolutely sackfuls of hate mail I always remember my boss used to hide it from me how many sackfuls he had that day.

But there was a huge feeling within the public that this sort of thing just couldn't happen, particularly if there was a religious organisation attached to this children's home or a residential school.

What happens there?

What happened was that after, after the, the charges were dropped very suddenly, and up until that point she had been told all along that the case was going ahead, and then all of a sudden the rug was pulled out from under her.

And within seconds of her receiving a phone call to tell her, "We're not going ahead after all," the media was filled with this story that David Goodwillie was not going to be prosecuted now.

And for Denise, this was absolutely devastating.

Absolutely devastating.

Because she had suffered horrific abuse online.

She had suffered h- abuse from football fans.

And what happens in that court, in that case?
