So how did the process begin of getting that interview set up and them leading up to telling you what he was going to say? Well, the

process started actually a couple of months ago.

I'm aware of the team that Rocky has utilized in the past when he ran for governor back in 2019.

I knew that they were potentially talking again about running this 2027 race.

So those initial early conversations about a month or two ago, just to check in, are we any closer? Is Rocky closer to a decision? And all those conversations were via text essentially with his team and you know they were pretty quiet on how they would respond but then uh just a couple of weeks ago they reached out to me let me know that rocky's officially made a decision and he's ready to go and he'd like to do this interview with you um but the caveat would be that uh you can do the interview in advance but uh actually we We're going to want you to wait to hold an announcement until when we officially announce via press release to the entire state that he's running.

So kind of a lot of back-and-forth negotiating of, okay, well, when's that date? What's the timeline? But also our newscast, Spectrum News, we start at a certain time, and we don't like to hold things.

But then there's no parameters on what I could ask.
