Tell us about that.

Well, I did a PhD in electrochemical corrosion of aluminium because of the potential association of aluminium with Alzheimer's.
6:36
I wasn't doing any of the biology.
6:38
I wasn't trying to understand the biology of it.
6:40
What I was looking at was the potential sources of aluminium because people who die of Alzheimer's typically have much more aluminium in the brain around, I think the factor is like 30 times normal.
6:53
So one of the questions was, where does this aluminium come from? So at the time, I mean, obviously I was a student myself and we used to use, you know, these really crappy aluminium pots where you could actually see the hitting corrosion at the bottom of the pot.
7:08
So, I looked at a lot of the alloys that were used for cooking utensils, but also for storage to try and understand how different things would impact how the aluminium was going into solution.

Dr. Murphy, let me ask you, does testing and this site and the transparency around the product, do you think that that has some benefit in terms of combating the misinformation around nicotine products?
