So can you walk us through your story?

Marie BoudotGUEST
So in the lab where I work, we're interested in environmental factors that can affect IBDs, inflammatory bowel disease.

Marie BoudotGUEST
So we looked at the effect of three main microplastics on the severity of the DSS endoscolitis in mice.

Marie BoudotGUEST
We chose the polyamide polyethylene terephthalate and polyvinyl chloride because they were found in one cohort, actually that is currently published, the only one we know, who showed that these microplastics were more abundant in IBD patients.

Marie BoudotGUEST
So we administered these plastics in drinking water to mice and then we induced colitis with the four cycles of DSS and then we analyzed the gut microbiota.

So thank you for sharing that with me, Marie Duda, at NSERM and University of Lorraine.
