Mm.
2:47
Um, so when, when your baby's born, your breasts are not go- are not going to be like they're going to be, say, once your milk comes in.
2:55
They change.
2:56
Um, they get bigger, and they start to, you know, fill with milk.
3:00
So then that, uh, I see challenges like the baby is clamping because the breast is too, um, it's, it's, it's too hard, it's too full.
3:08
Um, so moms then need to be kind of mindful of softening the breast and down around the nipple and the areola area before the baby latches on.
3:16
So a, a lot of it is with latching, positioning, um, and, and just getting comfortable really and g- getting good support and getting, um, the, the evidence-based support so that you're getting the same information each time.
6:08
... off breastfeeding now as a result, but should I try with my second?"
2:46
Mm.
2:47

Um, it's actually put me off breastfeeding now as a result, but should I try with my second?"

To ban controversial slogans and symbols, among other things, like phrases like "Globalize the Intifada," "From the river to the sea." Are laws like that pretty unusual?
18:16
They are, and if Queensland does this, then it would probably be the first jurisdiction in the world to, to do that, particularly "From the river to the sea." So I did a submission to the New South Wales Parliament inquiry that looked at this, and the report of that New South Wales Parliament was that "From the river to the sea" was too contested and so f- it shouldn't be banned.
18:36
But they did recommend banning "Globalize the Intifada," but importantly, only where it incited violence.
18:43
So I guess what I wanna say about that is that the general hate speech laws should be used, not specific slogans.
20:26
It must be a bit of a fine line that you're balancing.
20:29
Yeah, you will always have balancing of rights.
20:32
So obviously, during COVID, the COVID restrictions, particularly here in Victoria, people couldn't protest freely there because we had a state of emergency.
20:40
So rights are never absolute, and there is an argument, and it's reflected in international law, that the right to protest can be limited where there are public safety or public order considerations.
6:56
Maria, would you agree? We just need to go easier on ourselves?
6:59
Yes, absolutely.
7:00
I would say she needs to have compassion for herself.
7:03
This is a whole new version of herself as well.
7:07
And, you know, taking it one day at a time and just, you know, celebrating the wins and acknowledging how she's feeling is so important and it's so honest.
7:16
And, you know, that she's sharing that as well because it will help a lot of other women to share how they feel as well.
7:21
But she's just come out of her fourth trimester and we don't talk about the fourth trimester enough.

7 MINS LATER

14:28
I think we have to accept that, doesn't it?
13:47
But is this the right way to do it, Maria?
13:50
Hi, Andrea.
13:51
Good afternoon.
13:53
I don't think this is like about breastfeeding and formula feeding.
13:57
I think that's really kind of creating division.
13:59
I think this is about equity in health care, like Suzanne was highlighting in her article.
14:05
I mean, all families deserve equal support.
14:38
discrepancy, all right, from what listeners are telling me here today.
