And Larry Ness, in terms of like what you just heard from Susie and Isabella, anything you'd love to add or a different frame just to get into some more context? There's lots of different listeners out there, so...
9:34
Sure.
9:35
I think from both personal experience, but also working with the clients I do, I feel like we have lost the plot of the story in the sense of like, we tend to confuse visibility with virality and also with presence, meaning that just because especially now with AI making things so easy, we believe that we have to now use AI to help us be everywhere.
10:01
And I don't think that the premise of a good, solid foundation is that.
10:08
On the contrary, I feel like the way that I suggest people to actually, you know, use it to support you is actually to making things deeper and better, but just staying with what you're good at.
10:22
And I feel like, you know, back in the days when TikTok was the thing and people were dancing, like I saw so many of people, you know, close enough to me doing the dance and you could see it in the faces in their moves and their everything that it was just not natural and that transfer that translate that's you know people feel the energy and I know that people feel like oh but it's you know it's online and you're like no no people feel that like when when you write something out of like passion and love and like conviction it just it just also transfers, right? So like I rather see somebody going deeper into, you know, a couple of platforms.
11:00
I'm not saying that you have to only do one if that's not your thing, but, I feel like that we just are confusing the terms with the true meaning for ourselves.

12 MINS LATER

23:08
So, Marinette, what have you learned about the different seasons of your life and, you know, becoming visible? And what can you share from the heart for our listeners? And then Susie, I'll come to you.
0:58
Like what do you see? You're smiling.
1:03
so the biggest thing that I have found with all of us founders and CEOs and especially for us women is that we approach business and we've talked about this sort of lens in other episodes so I won't get too long into this but we approach businesses the same way that we approach life like You know, we know that if we do it ourselves, we're going to do it faster, right? Like it's, you know, I have to get the kids ready for school, like, you know, just asking my partner to like, can you, no, I know where everything is, so I'll just go do it.
1:38
And that reflects exactly the same in our businesses.
1:42
And I want to start by saying something to everybody listening right now is I know that it feels like AI is something that you have to learn.
1:53
And I don't necessarily disagree, but you don't have to become an expert.
1:56
And I just want to get this out of there right now.
2:00
The technology is moving so fast that it's going to get to a point that it will become easier and easier to adapt it and bring it into your business.

14 MINS LATER

15:45
To me, that's just so last year.

Now let's get back to the conversation.
6:57
I will also follow up because I feel like there is also this, again, right now I'm putting everything through the lens of AI, but it is also because I also am a brand strategist and I see this all the time.
7:13
When I started the business, influencers, as we know them today, didn't exist.
7:18
But I feel like we have understood personal brands as what we now understand as influencers.
7:25
Like we all thought or was trained in our brains that we had to be influencers when that's not the point of a personal brand, if that's what you choose to do.
7:35
But I feel like one of the things that I keep seeing over and over again is this.
7:40
And the word that comes into my mind is that we need to unlearn so many behaviors and so many behaviors.

8 MINS LATER

15:29
So anything that I shared that any, anybody would like to comment on or pick
19:03
[laughs]
19:03
Um, because I c- I get so many things done now because I know that I am literally constricted to a certain number of time, uh, of hours.
19:12
Um, but what that has helped me do also is really, um, taught myself to respect that time and no longer...
19:20
You know, 'cause a- a- as Isabella was saying, like, I also do that, and I still do.
19:25
I also wanna say this to listeners is, like, es- especially if you are at the beginning of your business and/or sometimes you just have to do it.
19:33
I have a bus- a client of mine who's in Australia, and sometimes that means that I have to take calls at weird hours, either too early or late, and that is also okay.
19:43
Just as long as it's not coming from a place of, like, I have to do it because I have to do it.
23:03
Yeah, anything that's popped up?
