yeah which is a very vulnerable state to be in a good state to be in to make a record there's the story you mentioned uh that your great aunt a journalist left you a very poignant message as a child may you always believe in magic and learn to relish words which is just a gorgeous sentiment uh to have how has that shaped your relationship to artistry and your relation to relationship sorry to songwriting

Um, yeah, that was, um, my great aunt Margo and, um, she passed away when I was like seven or something.

So I didn't know her super well.

Um, but I do have, I only really have one really sort of a memory that I can kind of, that feels visceral.

Um, And she actually is an auntie, like great auntie by marriage as well.

She's not fully related to me, which I think kind of makes it cooler.

She just had this beautiful relationship with my mom.
