But in that moment, what you do is, is...

So we talked about the fast track and the joy elevator.

The other side is a slow track, is my problem-solving part of my brain.

And right now in that point, you, as soon as you recognize that that's what's going on, you're like, "Okay, I have a problem to solve, and the problem right now is that half of my brain is kinda shut down, and I need to know how to get it back online." That's actually where CAKE can help, because now it's like, I need to find some curiosity.

I need to find some appreciation.

I need to find some way to be kind.

So is, how is capacity and joy linked together, and how can we build capacity practically?

Levites are great."

Yeah, the, and the audience reading is like, "Yay, it's a Levite," 'cause part of their job was to instruct people in Torah.

And, uh, [chuckles] but they come and say, "Oh, you're, uh, from the holy tribe, right? Why don't you be our priest?" Well, this was not a descendant of Aaron.

Levites couldn't be priests unless they were descendants of Aaron, and you're waiting for this person to correct everything, and instead they go, "How much does it pay?" [chuckles] And he agrees to the terms, and he becomes the priest, and it's, uh, and this guy keeps showing up.

It's like there's a, a whole cult that gets started that is basically syncretistic in that it is wor- claiming to worship Yahweh, and it has certain You know, things that are accurate about Yahweh in it, but it is all pagan, and it's all being done in ways that are actually forbidden by Yahweh.

And so that's syncretism, right? It's where you are bringing two things together that do not belong together.

So you're using an idol to worship Yahweh.

So talk to me about this.

Yeah, so I mentioned Dr. Jim Wilder earlier.

He and I wrote a book called The Solution of Choice.

And what it looks like, we subtitled that book, The Four Good Ideas that Neutralized Western Christianity.

And I talk about it in this book a little bit.

And it started with the Enlightenment and this idea that reason was what was essential about man.

And the church got a hold of this.

So what is the linkage between the brain and our emotions?
