Been out there getting some waves, so what's the weekend holding for you?

Unfortunately tomorrow it's quite strong offshore from quite early on but Sunday still not favourable wind but like there's still a bit of swell around and it bumps up again over the weekend sort of towards Sunday and yeah it should be real sick.

The last few days have been incredible down Scarborough and the Metro Beach has always been scoring some sweet waves, been so good, been so fun and then starting off early next week and you know surfing's always for the unemployed they say so uh from monday onward again wind looking looking pretty pretty good so um yeah

Now, Marcus, what's your word of encouragement for us today?

Yeah, so a prevailing theme of late in our Bible studies has been this idea that God wants to be close to us.

He wants to know us.

And reading countless times throughout the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, we hear of Jesus healing the lame and the blind.

And many of those times he does so without those people first coming to him and first committing their lives to him.

Tell me about it.

Yeah, numbers are actually growing.

It's going to be an interesting one.

We've got quite a bit of interest from the whole family this time, which is always exciting.

Everyone's welcome.

It's a great opportunity to meet the crew.

$130 gets you all your camp for the weekend, accommodation-wise, and then also... uh most of your meals dinners food's usually epic and then yeah do a devotion and share the word and yeah it's just a great opportunity to get some waves outside of perth

sounds like a good weekend mate to get around with some uh some good friends and uh and to walk away as a bit of a family as well um when it comes to your word of encouragement what's your word of encouragement for this week

Any good waves that people could be looking out for?

Yeah.

Well, it's been, it's been a good week so far.

Wind's been-- Winds have been great, and there's still a bit of swell, uh, lingering around.

A good, uh, a good ground swell, uh, which is always great.

And the wind tomorrow morning, uh, is actually looking real good.

Tomorrow evening's not so nice, but then coming into Monday again, uh, early in the week, there's a, there's a little window to get out and score the, the metro banks.

What's your word of encouragement, friend, my friend?

Tell me about that, mate.

Yeah.

We're excited.

It's, um, it's always a, a fun camp.

Um, there's plenty of options down there, uh, in terms of surf, so, um, yeah, everyone's frothing.

Everyone's getting excited to, to get in the cold water down there, and, um, yeah, hope- hopefully the point's firing.

Um, yeah, we're all excited and, and it's a great opportunity to just go and to, uh, you know, connect with the local community down there and, um, uh, share the gospel.

Any progress on getting back on a wave?

Yeah, the doctor gave me the all clear, so I'm good and rearing to get back in the water.

But probably not the best weekend for it, Sam.

It's a pretty rainy forecast.

There's a small window on Sunday morning where the wind might be quite nice.

But, yeah, hopefully the bit of swell that we're expecting over the weekend should, again, shape some of the banks up around the metro and then the back end of the week looks real fun.

There's some real mellow wind days coming on.
