One area I'd like to raise awareness of, which not everyone will be familiar with, is something called courier fraud.

And when I say a courier, I don't mean a conventional courier who would be a legitimate organisation.

I'm talking about people purporting to be from an official body, whether that's the banks or the police.

But if I can break it down in terms of how it actually works.

So a vulnerable victim will be contacted in the privacy of their own home by someone purporting to be, let's say, the bank or the police.

So they'll contact them on their landline and they'll start to tell them tales of woe about how their bank account is vulnerable and how it's been targeted either by the local branch who probably the victim who's on the phone has banked with all their life or Or there's some implications whereby there's a cloned bank account that's been created or a bank card that's been found in the possession of someone who's been arrested.
