Then the next follow-on obvious question for me is what was there about the Marshal Service that you wanted to portray in the series of, of books that you have written?

Well, you know, it goes, it, it really is a perfect type of character for, at least from my perspective, for a book about Alaska because, you know, Alaska is so diverse with, you know, every book kind of deals with a different geographical area and different, you know, what kind of the cultures they have, native cultures, local cultures.

And the Marshal Service is so diverse in what we do that I vividly remember when I was stationed in East Texas coming to work one day thinking I was gonna be moving prisoners, and then the boss said, "Go home.

There's a witness protection case.

You got to go work in California." Or no, in, uh, yeah, in California.

I was gonna go work a trial there.

We had a protected witness, and by the time I got there, they said, "No, no, we got to, we got to send you to Florida.
