Did you have other, did you have other amputees to talk to in those early days?
18:01
So one thing that we did, Matt and his wife Di came to visit me when I was in hospital having just had my amputations done, and, um, we vowed that we'd keep in touch.
18:13
And we ended up meeting up with them on a family holiday not long after I got home, um, up in Queensland, and he brought along another quadruple amputee, um- Corinne Barrett.
18:27
And so the three of us were there with our families, our extended families, and the kids and everything, and we sat on this big, long table in this middle of this incredibly busy pub up in Noosa, and it was brilliant because quite literally we had prosthetics lying on the table in among the glasses of beer.
18:49
[laughs] And, um, all the kids were helping out their respective parents and, and also helping out these people that they'd only just met because they understood, you know, you've gotta put a straw in the glass, and you've gotta pass a chip, and you have to do all this stuff.
19:04
And we had this great day, and we're all laughing and, you know, giggling at the fact that we're s- freaking out everybody around us, quite honestly.
19:12
Um, and we said we must stay in touch.

So what would you say if, you know, someone in a similar position now, now, uh, now to where you were, what, what, what would you say to them?
