It's a hard one.

Unfortunately, Australia is well known for a really bad stat.

We have the highest extinction rate on the planet.

Since colonisation, more than 100 species that are found nowhere else on Earth has gone extinct, so they have disappeared forever.

There's lots of reasons for that, but the important thing is that we need to recognise that today we still have almost 2,000 ecological communities and threatened species listed.
