There will be joy and loneliness.

There will be beauty and excess.

I've already spoken to a man this morning on the road outside who was as drunk as a skunk and needed help to get to somewhere of safety.

There will be spirituality and searching because behind the color and the masks and the dancing and the singing and the music and the steel bands, people are searching.

Wherever human beings gather, the image of God is present and human brokenness is present and the possibility of grace and a new start is present.
