So just to give some context, in Canada we do a lot of work on reconciliation in terms of, like how can we give back to the land and the indigenous people who were first there.

And so I really came into the space with that kind of intention in mind, that I didn't, if I was going to be in a place, I didn't want to be the person who's draining the place.

I wanted to be someone who was fostering something that could give back, and being part of Film Girls Brunch, originally it was Imani and Kaiulani who had first started it.
