So, look, as we head towards the 30th of June, Maddie, and the end of that KiwiSaver year, what should people be doing to make sure they don't miss out on that government contribution?
0:46
So from the 1st of July 2025, so that was last year, the government contribution did change.
0:52
So it is good for people to be aware of what this change looks like.
0:55
So it's now 25 cents to every dollar that you personally contribute.
1:00
It did used to be 50 cents for every dollar.
1:03
So the maximum payment now is $260.72 a year.
1:07
And there are a couple of important eligibility changes that people should look at as well.

Yeah, let's talk about those changes and who they affect specifically.
3:12
What about the eligibility? It's sort of age and income related, isn't it?
3:16
That's right.
3:17
So there's been a great change.
3:19
So now 16 and 17-year-olds qualify for the government contribution.
3:23
So this is the first time that they're going to benefit from it.
3:26
Previously, it was 18 and above.
3:29
So you've got a couple more years now of maximising government contributions, which is Perfect.
