Nvidia has secured a vast and diverse client roster, including the US Department of Energy, for building seven new supercomputers uber for self-driving cars eli lilly amazon foxconn and caterpillar so luke what are your thought of sort of thoughts um both on this new uh magnificent seven being batman um on the growth of the us industries and also of nvidia
8:44
so Look, as I mentioned earlier, I think if you look at the S and P 500 now, um, it's heavily weighted.
8:51
It's having top heavy now, you know, obviously always has been weighted towards the larger companies, but it seems that there are, as you said, the Batman, um, not Batman, Batman, um, um, companies that, you know, they, I think they account for nearly 40% of the S and P 500.
9:09
Right.
9:10
So it, from an investor point of view.
9:14
Even from someone just like me and yourself, who might be investing in funds and indexes instead of single stocks, just out of time.
9:26
It does decrease diversification.

Do you agree with my sentiment that people are leaving? Do you think there is a brain drain? Do you think the UK is kind of stopping itself a little bit with regulations and taxes? What do you make of kind of like your perspective studying in the UK? Do you think I'm painting a bleak picture that doesn't exist?
32:29
Luke, what do you make about the unemployment levels, particularly around recent university graduates? Would you agree with my statement to say that many people are struggling to find jobs at the moment.
32:41
Yeah, I mean, I completely agree.
32:42
I think it's a pretty tough environment for a university student or a just recently graduated student to go into this job market.
32:52
Because as you rightly mentioned, there's just not that many jobs going around, it seems.
32:59
Obviously, I didn't know what it was like for a university student 10 years ago.
33:06
But speaking from my experience, yeah, there just seems to be every single job is so highly competitive.
33:13
And obviously you'd expect that for, you know, some of the big firms, like if you're applying to, you know, Goldman Sachs or Morgan Stanley or JP Morgan or any of the biggest financial firms in the world, you know, you're not expecting it to be a walk in the park.

10 MINS LATER

43:36
What's the backdrop of this meeting? What are some key things that they're trying to achieve? And what does this mean for the USA, China and the rest of the world?
12:20
What do you think is the main goal for the US? Do you think they should still be looking into renewables? Do you think they're going to lose to China? What's your thoughts on Tesla and the surrounding impacts?
12:30
Yeah, good question.
12:32
I think First and foremost, if I'm not mistaken, I believe even when it comes to electric vehicles, it's obviously a better alternative to normal petrol cars in terms of the environment.
12:47
But it's also a matter of how these battery charging stations are powered, I believe, if I'm not mistaken.
12:58
And I think you can have these battery powered stations which still could run on fossil fuels, right? And obviously, the goal is to have these power stations being run by renewables or completely on renewables or at least majority renewables.
13:21
But if the energy that's being produced isn't from, is from non-fossil fuels, then I don't think that'll make much difference in terms of Tesla Tesla's future as these yes the US is shifting away from renewables in its current administration but I think that these battery power stations will still for the cars will still be able to run and function properly and you know with the incentive of as you mentioned $7,500 for EV vehicles currently I think it's a great time for in the US market to go purchase a car you know especially when Times are still tough.
14:05
There's inflation still above the target rate.

45 MINS LATER

58:53
Could you add the numbers as to how much money the government is losing, what the impacts of the shutdown will be, and any other thoughts on that matter?
26:24
So both, I wanted to get your thoughts both on Nvidia and Intel, but also this broader question of how we go about picking a company to invest in and whether one of these companies will actually break through and the others will fail, or whether it will sort of be all of these companies in the Magnificent Seven and adjacent to them will do well.
26:46
Yeah, it's quite interesting point that you raised there about how all these companies are fostering collaborations and creating new relationships with one another instead of just one or two being very successful.
27:00
I think one of the things we do have to take into account is even though they do operate within the same industry of AI and tech, it is still a very wide industry.
27:11
They all create something.
27:14
They will create quite different products.
27:16
For example, in entire Nvidia, yes, they create Intel, create CPUs and videos, GPUs, but they're two very small parts of laptops.
27:26
And, um, for someone like Nvidia, for example, to create their own CPUs, um, to Intel to the level that Intel already has would require a lot of investment, um, company resources, capital.

11 MINS LATER

39:06
this rise in cult-like following, how that's evolved over time, and sort of Apple as a brand, particularly in the wake of the iPhone 17 release?
42:41
But from a stock perspective, is it only, you know, certain people with more money that are getting interested in stocks? Is it simply because the markets have moved so much like your friends getting involved in investing? Like what has been the trend up to this point and where do you see that moving going forward?
42:57
Yeah, I think Just thinking about my friends, I think to be honest, a lot of my friends don't have money invested into stocks currently or funds.
43:10
I think that's a result of a couple of things.
43:13
So a lot of people, they don't actually have that much disposable income to be able to invest in stocks and funds.
43:22
And then although they might... know in the long run they are beneficial if you if let's say if you put hype if you put uh money in s p 500 year on year um you're likely to beat them uh beat the market you know increase the beat the banks but um yeah just a lot of people don't have enough disposable income and i think a lot of a lot of people don't actually have the knowledge um of what to invest in um which is Yeah, I mean, partly down to the person themselves, but also maybe partly down to education, whether that could be whether whether this kind of stuff could be taught more in schools or even university.
44:10
Who knows? Because but I think I think that there should be some kind of education on investing stocks and not not just that, not just those aspects, but also managing finances and and that area within schools because when a lot of kids leave, a lot of students leave schools at 18 or even 16, they go into the real world, they might get apprenticeships, they might go to university, they might get happy jobs and all of a sudden they might be earning an income from maybe going from almost nothing or even nothing to getting £20,000 a year, £30,000, £40,000, however it may be.
44:54
that's a massive difference and a lot of people just don't know how to manage that so I think that is something that needs to be taught in schools and alongside stocks because a lot of people just aren't informed so I had some friends who actually invested in day trading in gold and they all lost quite a lot of money and I think that just comes down to lack of information.

8 MINS LATER

53:29
What do you think have been the main impacts of gold reaching such heights? Do you think that this trend will continue moving forward? And also, what do you think about Bitcoin and its implications?
