Right.
18:43
Um, and so I think that was part of it.
18:45
And so I think just, it, yeah, there's more things I could say on that, but I think, I think it got lost, um, in the, uh, in the culture, um, of the church.
18:59
And, uh, and the other part of it is I think it's hard.
19:04
You know, it's, it's, uh, it's costly.
19:09
And, uh, not everybody's gonna take that journey.
19:15
Um, but one of the things I love to point out is I think about, uh, you know, we, we were talking for a second earlier before we jumped on the podcast about the Nazirites, right? And, um, everybody's like, "That's such an Old Testament thing." And what people will point out, though, is they'll go, "Well, the Nazirites, like, they just made this choice-

Yes, Lord.
13:03
when they aren't, they come back, [laughs] you know?
13:06
Yeah.
13:06
Yep.
13:07
You know, I was having a conversation with someone the other day, and, um, even just about, like, communicating to the church right now in this kind of age and stage, and, um, you know, I, I was, I was making this point about this wholehearted surrender to the Lord and, and, like, being willing to give it all, like, for the, for the Lord.
13:29
And they, they were m- kind of pushing back a little bit, I think, just trying to talk about communicating.
13:37
And they said, "But what about the people who...
13:41
They're like, they're just...

28:37
Yeah.
3:52
You may be seated.
3:56
This is a fascinating passage, isn't it? When Jesus here in this text is talking about the kingdom of God, when he opens and he says, for it will be like a man going on a journey, what is he talking about with the it? He's talking about the kingdom of God.
4:14
And he dives into this And he talks about these three servants that he gives these different amounts of his wealth to, right? So he comes to the first and he says, to the first he gives five talents, to the second he gives two, to the third he gives one.
4:31
And they steward these different endowments differently, right? The first one it says he immediately puts it to work, the second one likewise, and then the third one buries the talent in the ground.
4:46
Now I would look at that third servant and in my estimation, I would go, I think he probably did a fairly good job.
4:55
When the master comes back and he comes to this third servant and he says, you know, what did you do with what I gave you? What he returns to the master is exactly what the master had given him.
5:07
He had not lost a penny of what he had been given.

32:07
Let's go.
24:32
So why the church?
24:37
That's such a good question.
24:39
I was thinking about even part of that question today because I was having a conversation with...
24:46
The pastor last week, and he pastors one of the largest churches in London.
24:49
He's a Nigerian pastor.
24:51
And it's exploding with young people.
24:53
And he got about 200 of the top pastors in the UK together a month or two ago.

36 MINS LATER

60:35
Yeah.
