So it's just trying to find that balance and make sure that people aren't paying more than what they can afford.

Luke? Well, I would ask that question, and I get asked this a lot, and say, well, how does a pension increase their income? Because someone working can go out and do more work or get a promotion or take something else on.

So there's that element to it.

And we're right, we're dealing with the marginal cases, the people who are the most impoverished at the lowest end.

The whole reason for bringing the triple lock in by the Conservatives was to try and help alleviate some of that poverty.

This issue about this threshold has been something actually I've been raising personally in the House three or four times.

I've heard this answer from Torsten twice, twice from Rachel Reeve, saying we're promised we've got a workaround mechanism, we're going to get it sorted, because at the end of the day, pensioners are waking up and going, I'm going to have to do a tax return now as well.

Well, Rachel did a valiant effort saying he's the man for the job, but you've got to remember, he's already run twice and lost to Ed Miliband, who's still in there, and Jeremy Corbyn as well.

So I think we've already seen the track record of how difficult Andy finds it to, to get elected.

But this really is a, a Labour problem at the moment, because imagine on the doorstep what's gonna happen.

You're gonna have a guy trying to come in as a candidate to stand to take out the leader that's campaigning for the Prime Minister, with a Prime Minister who's coming in, if I'm right, into the constituency to say, "Campaign for the guy who's gonna usurp me." With Reform saying, "Well, we're gonna campaign to stop a Labour MP to have a, uh, keep Keir Starmer in place." I mean, I think I've got that right.

It's, it's a crazy situation.

All at the time when there's so much going on both in the country and the world.
