Vicki PetersonHOST
It is just truly a joy to behold, and I would love for you to talk a little bit about that.

I guess music in general has always been a part of how I express my emotions and how I express everything that I'm going through, because sometimes it feels like, this could be the ADHD talking, [laughs] but it's like when your brain is so confused and messed, and there's so many thoughts going through, it's like when the music plays, it's doing it for you, and then your brain finally gets a second to rest.

When I'm singing, it's like I get to experience the same thing, except my emotions where they are truly, actually feeling also get to come out into the music.

And so when I sing, when I sing for fun, it's obviously just bare surface level, but if I'm going through something and I'm singing a song that has intense lyrics or intense emotions I'm feeling, truly, I think it sounds so cliche, but it, like, almost as if time stops.

I feel it most when there's this big belty moment, and it's like everything's pouring out of you, and that's not easy to express when you're just talking or you're having a normal conversation with somebody, or you're trying to get it out to a therapist or something.
