Yeah, I think what Vicky said earlier about that people are at

the heart of a story, even a food story, rings true.

And one of my colleagues did a whole piece of really great storytelling around Ramadan.

And this beautiful story about the chef at the resettlement centre in Mangere, where he talks about how you know there's a whole lot of people who have gone through a lot obviously to end up there and life will feel very uncertain for them and how he brings together groups that might identify in terms of the umbrella of their religion but be from different countries that might have an animosity and how there's this beautiful anecdote in this particular story how he says you know on the first day they won't even look at each other in the kitchen and you know by the second day they sort of might have progressed to chopping vegetables together by the end of the week they're taking selfies and they're saying this is delicious and how did you make it and you know it's that I know it sounds a bit trite explained that way but it's this beautiful story of of how food is connecting people and how people are finding their or refinding or expressing who they are through what they're eating i think the thing that is really missing in new zealand food writing is voices who are not middle-aged yeah pakeha women you know and i say that as one that's what's really really missing and i would love to correct

It's like for life.

Yeah.

That kind of book, for that kind of writing.

anything by by b wilson and she has a fantastic newsletter called until golden um she wrote a really beautiful book that came out last year called oh my goodness what is it called the secret of cooking and a fantastic one that came out this year called the heart-shaped tin about food object gosh i'm so super fan she's she's great she's a really fantastic writer b wilson b e e food journalism On the local front, I think Kim Knight is fantastic, obviously.
