So what are some of the new challenges or opportunities that have emerged over, I'll say, the last couple of years since you've been in the role that need to be considered for this new plan?
8:28
Yeah, I think, you know, a lot of the... situations and priority areas are going to be the same because they're not going to be solved overnight.

I mean, we're looking at housing, we're looking at basic needs, we're looking at substance use, we're looking at how to support people, how to connect people to where they want to go.
8:44
So I think honestly for me, um, I've had a, you know, really listening to people in our community, whether it's like, you know, I'm at the mall chatting to people or I'm in a group, uh, you know, a coalition meeting or a network meeting talking to other, uh, folks who are working in different sectors.

It's kind of like asking those questions like what's happening? Where are the gaps? What can we do better? What can we learn from what we've done? And I think one of the biggest challenges is data.
9:13
when we're looking at the system, what are we counting? What are we trying to find out? So this is something as part of the plan is that we have to not only develop this plan, but we also have to validate it with our partners.
9:23
And our partners are our community members as well.
12:17
Speaking of partners, what are some of the lessons you've learned from other municipalities that have influenced your approach in Thunder Bay? I know you work with other, obviously a lot of cities deal with the same issues.
