So I grew up in the Lake District.

And I went to Kirby Stephen Grammar School, step up there.

And when I was about 18, 19, I joined the military.

Joined the military because my older brother was actually, he'd already joined up.

And he'd joined Royal Marines Commandos and I followed suit.

So going around the table then, if we ask sort of what was it about joining the military, let's say for starters, what was the drive, what was the motivation? You think, you probably never thought about it before, I know I hadn't until I had to, but what do you think was the reason why you joined the military at the time? You mentioned your brother was serving, is that right?

Yeah.

Yeah, it's like an out of control horse going downhill.

It's just like, trying to get caught up.

Selection as well, pretty much.

But yeah, I'm trying to get caught up.

Like, it's a big beast.

and it's you know it's a small man team and honestly the amount of work you have to put in to try and get something across the line is just epic and you know that that was that was one of them I think the one that came to mind for me is and we made up for it we tried to get some stuff made in the UK which is which is very difficult it's like knife over fork pretty pretty simple and erm it it didn't go to plan the the garments got sewn wrong the stitching all came undone and we delivered these bearing in mind we got them across the line um got them out to you know over
