Well, what I'm keen to find out from you is what needs to change for nuclear to shift from bespoke government-led financing towards a mainstream infrastructure asset class?

I love that, that question.

It's really the central question that we're trying to address with this investment guide.

That's how we build the guide around that, uh, that premise, that central, um, idea.

So we started with the thought, so we need to build at scale.

We need financing at scale.

Mm-hmm.

Perfect

... part of this, uh, roadmap, it's also a simple analysis that we did to estimate, uh, how much would the current government ambitions, um, need in terms of capital to, to happen.

Uh, so again, government ambitions globally, they're a little bit more than, than tripling.

Uh, tripling would be around 1,200, um, uh, megawatts.

And, and what we're saying that governments say they want to achieve, their targets as of, as of the la- the end of last year was around 1,400.

So it's a little bit more than tripling.

So achieving those targets would require around $6 trillion between now and 2050.

Lola, could we start with a bit of the thinking behind the plan for producing the Nuclear Investment Guide?

Of course.

So as you just said, uh, the guide is meant to bring the nuclear and finance industries together to try to move forward the nuclear financing challenge.

As we all know, financing is a key piece of the equation, so again, thank you so much for having us and having given us the opportunity to talk about it.

So yes, the genesis of the guide happened last September during the Financial Summit, which is part of the World Nuclear Symposium, where we heard loud and clear from the financial community and the nuclear industry on two related things.

One, that there was a structural gap, a disconnect between the two industries that needed to be bridged.
