My name

is Lois Shearing.

I'm an author and a journalist.

I wrote a couple of books or edited a couple of books about bisexuality and then for some reason I decided I was done writing about bisexuality and I wrote a book called Pink Pilled, Women and the Far Right which was a book exploring how women are radicalized online.

I expand the definition a little bit to sort of use it to refer to the ways in which women are kind of radicalized online into white supremacist and far-right communities.

When I was a teenager, I grew up very rurally and I was a very online person.

And I sort of got very sucked into manosphere blogs.

In Doppelganger, one of my favorite books ever, Naomi Klein summarizes this so beautifully by saying, conspiracy theorists get the facts wrong, but often get the feelings right.
