It's quite ironic, isn't it? I run a charity for people that have physical limitations and my husband Ed's got a spinal cord injury.

So I'm very aware of how these injuries work.

can affect you in very aware but mentally it was it's majority mental so when this happened I was like I've got the toolkit I know what I'm doing and of course when it's tested to yourself it's so different and it's given me a whole new level of empathy for ED, for the beneficiaries I work with, and just a greater understanding of kind of how, when, it's more how the, when the things that you use as coping mechanisms are taken away from you, then What are you faced with? And I do a lot of work around identity with my clients.

And I really had to face that because I think I am known as the fit one, the exercise one, the mountain girl, like outdoorsy.

And then I suddenly couldn't do any of those things.

And I suppose my question from that is, what is the importance of connection and just being together in how we recover from trauma and how we actually move through anything probably?

[laughs] Old enough.

But it was a long time ago, and we were there, and, and we worked really, really hard to con- to, to go throughout everything we could in terms of environment and, and safety and all those kinds of things.

Um, but when, when the government fell, you might remember everything was in place.

And as a matter of fact, um, they had to pay $4 million directly to compensate the contractors that were already underway, and that was a tragedy in my opinion.

Um, so it, it, it, it is a lot of history, but I think it's important to remember some of the reasons.

We haven't heard any of the reasons that they're gonna go tunnel.

There are huge problems with a tunnel.

... where that pipeline's gonna be, where the, what kind of vessels will be there and, and safety measures as well.

What was your response when you heard that news?

Well, I thought this is the second time they're doing this because they did it, you know, back in, what was it, 2021, I think it was, or thereabouts.

I wish I had had time, Jill, to put everything down in a real datal order because it tells a different story than what we're hearing.

And when they were elected in 2017, they did not cancel the bridge.

It has to do with one word.

It was not cancel.

They halted construction.

But were there concerns about the bedrock or the silt of where it would have to start on the Richmond side or the Delta side? Were concerns brought up and were they dealt with?
