And it feels like we're getting this information sort of after this project left the gate.
10:45
Yeah.
10:46
Not before.
10:47
Right.
10:47
And I think this is the most critical thing about this report is that there has been a lot of discussion about the water impacts of Stratos and other data centers here in Utah.
11:00
And rightly so.
11:01
We live in a water-stressed place.
14:57
It's good with us.
26:14
Logan, can you explain that, like how big this is, and break down the water use?
26:19
Yeah.
26:19
So again, the Stratos, uh, data center proposal here in Utah, it has many of the similar elements.
26:26
It, you know, is under the cover of night.
26:28
We had this extra dynamic where we had this special quasi-governmental organization that was signing off on it.
26:35
But when it came up and when it started to hit the, the public awareness, I started looking around for, oh, what is their plan? What are, what are they actually planning to do? And there, there was no details.
26:45
It was...

65:03
Uh, Erin?
25:00
I've heard of it.
25:02
Heard of it.
25:02
Um, and I think, you know, there's, there's been this sort of general s- idea that there's not anything that we can really do about it.
25:10
It's too late.
25:11
You know, we're...
25:13
At this point, we've, we've already, you know, we've crossed the threshold.
25:15
And, and I think in some ways that might be true, but also, um, it's been newly learned in the last 10 years that promoting healthy soil, generating healthy soil can j- can, can sequester more carbon than any other thing that we're doing to currently combat climate change.
27:34
So, uh, how can proprietors, bartenders, beverage directors, general managers, bar backs or, or even guests, is there a way for them to get involved? How can people get involved with this?
10:11
And what is so promising about it?
10:13
So we're at a really pivotal moment in the broader field of geothermal energy.
10:22
Okay.
10:22
Traditional geothermal development, and I'll call it hydrothermal development, it requires three key ingredients.
10:31
You need the heat, you need the right geology, which really boils down to having some fractures in the rock, some kind of cracks to be able to move fluid through in order to harvest the heat, and then you need the water.
10:48
So with those three ingredients, you can create a hydrothermal energy system.
10:54
Those three ingredients are pretty rare, And that's why we don't have very many traditional geothermal projects across the country.
