What's number one on the list?
1:04
Yep.
1:04
Number one is deferred compensation.
1:06
Non-qualified deferred comp lets you take part of your salary that you'd be earning today and defer it to a later year, ideally when you're not making as much or the tax brackets are lower.

Now that we know what the rates are going to be, we can be certain and develop a strategy around that where if you're making, let's say, $500,000 and you only need $300,000 to live off of, you can look to defer $200,000 of your compensation to a future year, ideally when your taxable income is lower so that amount is not taxed as high.

So that's kind of a back down where the rates end up? Yep.

And now, like I mentioned before, we know where the rates are going to be.
