How far do you think your game still has to go?

Yeah, I mean, I think you're always trying to improve.

You're always trying to get better.

It's still so early in the season.

Like I said, I think confidence is a big thing in this league, and when you have it and you're feeling good, I think that's when, you know, obviously you're at your best, and that's when you start seeing a lot more plays, trusting your game and your instincts to make those plays.

So, yeah, I mean, like I said, it's still early in the season, just trying to be the player that I know I can be and try to get better every day.

versus last year's?

Yeah, it's huge.

His first 15 shots he faced, what did you see of his performance?

Yeah, he was unbelievable.

It's not easy when you're kind of getting slotted in every once in a while.

But just how competitive he is, how hard he works in practice, and he's still so young.

And I think he's gonna be an unbelievable goal in this league for a long time.

And we're fortunate to have him.

I've got to be better on that one there on the power play.

journey from the Little Penguins program here to having a night like tonight, just probably hard to take in all at once, but just kind of what's that journey been like for you to really see it pay off?

What's your thought about Vemelka's play, especially early in that one, keeping you guys at 0-0?

Yeah, he was unbelievable.

You know, on the kill, 5-on-5, you know, that's a great game for him.

And definitely gave us a chance to... be in that game and um you know push there towards the end but he was solid for us all night and um it's definitely positive moving forward does this feel like a budding rivalry with you guys in minnesota yeah i mean i think if you look at the standings we're right there neck and neck and um In our division, tough team to play against, always in the playoffs.

And for us, I mean, I think it's a good measuring stick to kind of compare against them.

Like I said, they're always in the playoffs, got unbelievable players, always in the top of the league.

So anytime we play them, we're definitely up for it.

What do you guys have to do to kind of reconnect and find each other next game?

Logan, what are some of your takeaways from that game, especially how you guys came back in the third period?

Yeah, I mean, I think it was a great job coming back in third.

You know, I think there's a lot of areas we need to clean up, managing the puck the right way.

Something we talked about, obviously, they're a team that kind of holds the middle and doesn't allow you to give a lot of plays, especially on delays when you're trying to find, you know, a late guy.

And I thought we got...

The puck picked off a bunch of times and allowed them to transition, and that's how they got their looks and ended up scoring.

Yours included what you like out of what was developing there late in the game.

Yeah, I mean, I think we got on the forecheck really good.

Yeah, I mean, that was an unbelievable save, one of the best I've ever seen.

So, yeah, a great win.

A little sloppy there towards the end of the third, but overall it's a good two points.

Is that what you saw and felt out there?

Yeah, I think so.

I mean, I think early on we did a good job of playing with speed, moving the puck really quick, and they couldn't really handle that too often, especially early on.

And like I said, I think we got away from it a little bit in the third, but overall, great two points.

Can you carry this momentum over into Saturday?

Yeah, for sure.

I mean, I think, um, obviously it's, you know, we play them right again, they're gonna be, uh, hungry.

Um, [sniffs] you know, I think, you know, it's a tough league and, uh, you gotta be ready, um, you know, quick and you gotta have a quick mindset and, um, [sniffs] you know, I'm sure they're gonna be ready and hungry, so we gotta match that.

What's it been like playing on that line with, with Dylan Coo?

It's awesome.

Um, obviously one of the best shooters in the league, can score from anywhere and, um, I feel like our line is slowly starting to gel together and we're starting to [sniffs] know where each other are and, um, but yeah, you just try to find him the puck in the slot and, um, [sniffs] you know, if he's open, it's probably gonna go in.

Yeah, just curious, what can he do to elevate this team's ceiling? How does he improve the forward group?

Yeah, I mean, obviously, he's always top five in the league in face-offs.

I think the way he leads, you know, a lot of us younger guys can kind of lean on him in ways that maybe we haven't had that before.

Obviously, he's been in playoff games, won, you know, Olympic gold medal, has been in the big moments.

And I think when you have guys like that with experience, it really helps the team.

And he's been an unbelievable two-way player in this league for I don't know the exact years now.

So I'm excited to have him on the team.

How does he help you with your game?

How do you feel like the intensity level and the tight checking and all that in those games compares to the Stanley Cup playoffs? And did it help prepare you at all for the playoffs?

Yeah, I mean, I think it's a completely different game.

You know, it definitely helps prepare you with being in high-pressure moments and, you know, when it's do or die.

Those definitely help, but I think, you know, playoffs are just a different animal.

Just how physical, how fast the games are.

I don't think anything could really compare to that.

Do you think you'll be at Worlds this summer? I think it's something that, you know, I still have to kind of talk about with my agent and stuff like that.

What made the difference between last year and this year in terms of how this team carried itself?

And he's going to tell you how Utah is going to come back in this third period right after this on Hockey Night in Utah.

The way you guys travel." So, how easy did he make that transition? A- and, and have you guys felt the love in that sense?

Yeah, he's been unbelievable.

Um, you know, right when we found out, uh, we're going to Arizona, like, he came to Arizona.

We played, um, Scottsdale National, I believe, and, um, you know, it was just straightaway, like, we'd go off then had a meeting after.

He's like, "Whatever you guys need," like, "I'm gonna do it for you." And everything he's said, he's done it.

And, you know, he's given us every opportunity to make sure we're a top team in the league, that we get to the playoffs, and then eventually win a Stanley Cup.

And the new facility is unbelievable.

Like, how much has that rubbed off on you and the rest of the group? Like him being a leader like that and showing you guys the way?
