I know that they're being marketed as kind of like the number one... way to lose weight and what i also know is if you look at history there's always like a fad when it comes to dieting there's always this like quick fix of just go on this and you'll lose 20 pounds in two weeks and then everything will be okay and you kind of just see trends in society in general we're not even talking about just weight loss we kind of rinse and repeat
4:51
yeah and It's a good point.
4:52
I haven't really thought about that, but GLP-1s might just be another trend in the bucket.
4:57
I do think that as social media has grown, it becomes more pervasive.
5:03
Keto, to me, was insane.
5:06
It felt like it was going to be the new reality for how people ate because everyone was doing it.
5:12
And now, GLP-1s feel similar where a ton of people are doing it.
10:05
is such like a gradual build too it's not you just one day wake up and you're like I trust myself a lot of the times I think especially with people in larger bodies too there's like this innate sense of like I don't trust myself right
1:48
I think if you feel comfortable maybe sharing a little bit about you and your own experience that got you to the career you're in now, That'll be a good intro into this topic.
1:57
Totally.
1:58
Well, like many gals near my age, I'm like a young millennial.
2:04
And the zennial culture, we grew up with parents who were deep in diet culture.
2:10
So my mom, she's a wonderful woman, but she also... struggled with dieting like my entire childhood and so I watched those behaviors she did her very best to not like project it onto me but it's impossible to not see like her dissatisfaction with her body was just very clear to me and the control around food was very clear to me and so in high school I mean, as early as elementary school, I remember feeling like I was bigger than my friends, like there was something wrong with my body.
2:38
And then in high school, it was like, okay, I'm going to count my calories, track it on my fitness pal, stay under a super small number.
2:45
And it was horrible.

But I think that phrase of being an expander feels important to me.
37:30
Yeah.
37:32
You know, I'd say it is, and this is cheesy, but I mean it, that your whole thing is like, find your voice, right? Own the hell out of your voice.
37:44
I feel like that concept is, has always been like very up here for me.
37:48
I'm like, like, I love the idea, but what does that mean? Um, and I think that's what drew me to you is like, I was like, there's a part of me that wants that, but I don't really even know what that would mean for me.
37:58
Right.
37:59
When we started working together, like early 2025, um, and it flows school.
