Well, really, we want this event to reach out to people that normally just think of Goodwill as a store.

And we are, and we're grateful.

We appreciate all of your donations and hope you will continue to bring them to us.

But your donations actually fuel our job training programs for individuals in Knox and the 14 surrounding counties who may have barriers to employment.

And so we have a variety of programs.

Everything from learning basic work skills to very specialized credentialing to help people get into the job that they're looking for and be the best versions of themselves for them and for their families.

What are some of the most common things that you see that people need, the programs that they need here in East Tennessee?

Well, it just depends.

You know, we have a lot of people who come in and they've got a lot of things that are stopping them from even getting to an interview, let alone getting to work.

And so you have to address those first line needs, right? So some people may not have access to interview clothing.

They maybe never have interviewed or maybe they have and it's not gone well.

Maybe they are coming out of incarceration.

They're reentering the community, and they really need to work on how to talk about that because that's a biggie in an interview.

What are some of the upcoming events and things you want to remind folks of?
